Internet firm to create 33 jobs in Co Cork
More than 30 new jobs are to be created at an internet services company, it was announced today.
Cork firm Newsweaver plans to pump €700,000 into research and development as part of a major expansion plan.
The Bandon-based company provides email newsletter software and counts the UN, Shell, AIB and Bupa among its clients.
Trade Minister Billy Kelleher said the 33 new "high value" jobs were a significant boost to all of West Cork.
"Over the next 10 years services will be the key driver of Ireland's economic success and job creation, and Newsweaver is a prime example of the type of Irish internationally traded services companies that can be part of that wave," he added.
The expansion, which will bring the number of employees to 61, is being supported by the taxpayer through Enterprise Ireland.
